LEARNING AT THE ACADEMY

Student-to-Teacher Ratio

Each class at Hamd House Academy will have a student-to-teacher ratio of 20:1.

Class Size

Hamd House Academy is currently operating JSS1 and JSS2 grades only. Each grade will consist of two arms; one for boys and one for girls. Each class will have a maximum of 20 students so as to ensure quality of learning and a cosy, conducive environment where the teacher is able to give each student enough time and attention.

Flipped Classroom Learning

A flipped class is one that inverts the typical cycle of content acquisition and application so that students gain necessary knowledge before class, and instructors guide students to actively and interactively clarify and apply that knowledge during class. At Hamd House Academy, our teachers flip their classes so as to ensure that:

  • Students learn more deeply
  • Students are active participants in learning
  • Interaction increases and students learn from one another
  • Teachers and students get more feedback
